Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious DOT Driver to join our team at TAS Environmental Services. As a DOT Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Pre-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Display Safety Awareness: Demonstrate consistent attention to safety in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Collect Delivery Instructions: Obtain delivery instructions from dispatchers, verifying instructions and routes to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Maintain Logs and Records: Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, or repair status in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Report Vehicle Defects and Incidents: Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to ensure prompt resolution and minimize downtime.
  • Transport Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Materials: Transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with applicable guidelines, DOT, and company safety procedures.
  • Handle Various Products and Materials: Handle various products, hazardous and non-hazardous materials, and perform industrial work and biohazard cleanups as required.
  • Perform Staging, Profiling, and Processing: Stage, profile, and process hazardous and non-hazardous waste for disposal.
  • Assist in Removal and Cleanup: Assist in the removal of soil, debris, and other materials, and clean up spill sites as required.
  • Operate and Clean Equipment: Operate and clean equipment as required to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A License: Possess a valid CDL Class A License with the ability to attain a Hazmat endorsement.
  • 2-5 Years Truck Driving Experience: Have 2-5 years of truck driving experience, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.
  • HAZWOPER and Confined Space Training: Possess HAZWOPER and Confined Space training, with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
  • TWIC Card (Preferred): Possess a TWIC Card, which is preferred but not required.
