Job Title: Mobile Diesel Mechanic

At Ryder System, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake and tire work, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, including air conditioning, electrical systems, and other components.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
  • Coordinate work schedules as required by customers and ensure quality of repair work performed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification post-secondary degree or technical certifications, preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Requires demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred.
  • NonCommercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
  • Other State driver's license, as required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
