Thermal Engineer for Space Vehicles Development

As a thermal and fluids engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing the performance and operations of various spaceflight systems. Your main tasks will include defining the performance and operations for spaceflight systems, hardware requirements, and resolving technical challenges. You will also be responsible for conducting 1D-3D thermal and fluids analysis and contributing to the product life cycle process from early conceptual design through completion of the flight mission.
Requirements and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least five years of direct experience in space applications fluids & propulsion analysis.
- Strong understanding of thermal and fluid mechanics of Cryogenics and relevant experience preferably in space industry.
- Experience with Thermal Desktop/SINDA/FLUINT.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Experience with modeling propulsion/cryogenic fluids management.
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Knowledge of other tools including MATLAB, Simulink, Amesim.
- Advanced graduate degrees (Masters or PhD).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Compensation range: $111,690.00-$156,366.00 (CA), $102,382.50-$143,335.50 (CO), $111,690.00-$156,366.00 (WA). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
