Job Description

Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Drive Integration Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our HDD Program Management Team, you will be responsible for planning and defining development phases, product requirements, and product features.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the HDD Program Management Team to plan and define development phases, product requirements, and product features.
  • Responsible for bringing up manufacturing test process and implementation of product features.
  • Interlock with subsystem teams (Electronics, Firmware, Servo/Mechanical, HDI, Failure Analysis) to coordinate strategy to meet manufacturing test milestones, analyze and resolve issues identified during system integration, and identify root cause of HDD failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive Yield Roadmap and improvements, identify and interpret data collection requirements.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS CE, CS or EE and at least 2+ years experience.
  • Strong Leadership & Problem Solving & Organization skills.
  • Ability to handle more than one project at a time.
  • Experience with Data Extraction, Data Analysis and Statistics.
  • Familiarity with Programming and Tool Development using TCL, Python, C, C++.
  • Exceptional Communication and Presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of both Windows & Linux operating systems.
