Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Drive Integration Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our HDD Program Management Team, you will be responsible for planning and defining development phases, product requirements, and product features.

You will work closely with our Electronics, Firmware, Servo/Mechanical, HDI, and Failure Analysis teams to coordinate strategies, analyze and resolve issues, and identify root causes of HDD failures. Your expertise in data extraction, analysis, and statistics will be crucial in driving yield roadmap improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and define development phases, product requirements, and product features
  • Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate strategies and resolve issues
  • Analyze and resolve issues identified during system integration
  • Identify root causes of HDD failures and implement corrective actions
  • Drive yield roadmap improvements
  • Identify and interpret data collection requirements
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in CE, CS, or EE with at least 2+ years of experience
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with data extraction, analysis, and statistics
  • Familiarity with programming and tool development using TCL, Python, C, and C++
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
