Key Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Oversight: Create and maintain project timelines utilizing construction documents and logical sequencing. Proactively address scheduling challenges, devise recovery strategies, and document delays through scheduling software.
  • Contractual and Risk Oversight: Ensure compliance with contract stipulations, manage project risks, and escalate contractual matters to appropriate stakeholders as necessary.
  • External Stakeholder Management: Oversee interactions with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other involved parties. Prioritize client satisfaction and effectively resolve project-related disputes.
  • Project Execution: Collaborate with the Superintendent to strategize and implement project plans. Conduct team meetings to assess progress, identify potential risks, and initiate corrective measures. Guarantee accurate and consistent project documentation.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Ensure prompt payments to subcontractors and swiftly address any payment-related issues. Educate subcontractors on billing procedures and review invoices to avert payment delays.
  • Safety Leadership: Model exemplary safety practices, engage in safety meetings, and adhere to safety training protocols.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project finances, forecast expenses, and ensure timely processing of payments. Utilize financial management tools to align with project agreements and identify financial efficiencies.
  • Client Development: Participate in client engagement initiatives, coordinate presentations, and assist in proposal development. Engage with relevant industry associations.

  • Strategic Direction: Motivate and align team efforts with Forrester's strategic objectives. Tackle complex challenges proactively and foster innovative solutions.
  • Operational Execution: Implement processes to meet objectives, resolve issues in a timely manner, and delegate responsibilities effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to communicate, stand, and walk.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs or ladders.
  • Must possess good vision, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in diverse conditions, including construction sites with potential exposure to noise, dust, and extreme temperatures.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of general contracting experience managing projects exceeding $5M. Experience in similar project types and markets is preferred.
  • Consideration may be given to candidates with at least 7 years of relevant experience in construction management, estimating, or other construction trades.
  • CPR/First Aid and OSHA certifications required within the first 90 days. Additional certifications (e.g., Maryland Environmental Green Card, EM-385) are advantageous.
