Job Title: Consumer Service Representative I-1

At Spectrum Brands, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Consumer Service Representative I-1 to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers, addressing their inquiries, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to high-volume incoming technical support inquiries, providing accurate and timely solutions to customers.
  • Utilize our CRM system to create cases, troubleshoot, and document consumer product/warranty issues, and process warranty order fulfillment.
  • Provide warranty support according to brand and organizational policy.
  • Participate in job-related training sessions and seminars to enhance product knowledge and skills.
  • Observe consumer survey and feedback operations, providing best practice responses.
  • Perform related work as required, including attending staff meetings and maintaining prompt and regular attendance.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Office and Excel skills required.
  • Type 40+ WPM.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, bilingual in Spanish and/or French a plus.
  • Problem-solver; ability to deal with customers (internal and external) in difficult situations.
  • At least one (1) year experience in a product-based customer support function and/or call center environment; preferred in the hardware and home improvement industry.
  • Understands coaching concept and is coachable.
  • Understands our Winning Culture Values.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to understand technical product issues.
  • Familiar with Windows-based computer applications, MFG/Pro a plus.
  • Ability to perform appropriately under stress and with displeased consumers is also necessary.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekend hours.
