Role Summary:
As a Retirement Benefits Coordinator, you will embark on a journey to master the administration, testing, and reporting processes associated with 401(k) plans. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, you will progress from document review to managing basic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information for annual reporting.
  • Review client-submitted documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilize Excel and administration software to reconcile plans involving rollovers and plan stock.
  • Conduct 401(k) testing and reporting using administration software.
  • Make proactive communication with clients throughout the reporting process.
  • Prepare essential government filings for 401(k) plans, including IRS Form 5500.
  • Educate clients on the administration of their 401(k) plans and related documents.
  • Share knowledge and simplify complex topics for clients.
  • Assist in training for new Retirement Plan Administrators.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Skills in customer service, organization, and teamwork.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Preferred: Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of 401(k) plan structures and IRS/DOL regulations.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
