Job Overview:

Software Guidance and Assistance, Inc. is a leading provider of technology and resource solutions, driven to deliver exceptional results with a personal touch. We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Risk Specialist for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in New York.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Control Build: The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and executing risk-related control deliverables in FRTB (Fundamental Review of the Trading Book), supporting the lead executioner.
  • Exception Identification and Remediation: Perform in-depth data analysis, build ad-hoc control exceptions reports, and operate controls by identifying exceptions, raising JIRA tickets, managing issues with remediation owners, and reporting exceptions in governance forums.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Engage and collaborate with central project management teams to track control build status and its deliverables and milestones, while maintaining robust interactions with stakeholders across multiple groups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of relevant financial industry experience at a Tier 1 Bank or other reputable financial institutions or consulting with big 4 firms.
  • Strong data analysis skill with proficiency in SQL, and work experience using Tableau.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Python programming skills a plus.
