Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney

A high-level attorney with 5+ years of law practice experience is sought by Gravis Law, PLLC. The successful candidate will thrive in a supportive environment with autonomy to manage their workload. The attorney will receive a substantial portion of their work through the firm's lead generation and marketing efforts, as well as from other attorneys in the office. They are expected to generate a portion of their own billable work and present at one event and one organization leadership event. The firm prioritizes work-life integration, a collaborative culture, and a competitive compensation and incentive structure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Successful record of mediation experience
  • Significant and successful trial experience
  • Researching and analyzing complex legal issues
  • Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other documents
  • Marketing services to prospective clients
  • Performing discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information
  • Performing due diligence in all matters
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Managing a schedule to allow for consults and closure of consults
  • Closing consults within Gravis range of 30-50%
  • Timely approval of invoices is critical to the health of the business
  • Ensuring support staff are fully utilized and productive
  • Accurately updating client information and invoices
  • Sharing work tasks with other attorneys and support staff as needed
  • Actively engaging in brand expansion through blogs, social media, and organization participation
  • Seeking positive comments from client engagements and reviews
Requirements:
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent legal research skills
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
  • Admission to the bar in the state in which you intend to practice
  • 5+ years of experience as an attorney

Duties will be performed in a standard office environment. Employees must have the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Gravis policy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be required to work weekends, holidays, be on call, and some employees could be required to travel overnight on occasion.
