Role Overview: The Manufacturing Process Engineer will spearhead engineering initiatives throughout the lifecycle of new model development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of advanced production equipment, operator workstations, and facility enhancements aligned with product and process modifications.
- Support on-site assembly build events, ensuring seamless operations.
- Compile and disseminate daily metrics reports in both standard letter format and Excel format.
- Identify, address, and resolve manufacturing-related challenges effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Plant Engineering, and Suppliers.
- Draft, revise, and maintain process documentation as necessary.
- Oversee the installation, startup, and commissioning of assembly tooling at the designated site.
- Facilitate tooling buy-off processes at vendor facilities.
- Lead pre-build validation activities for prototype builds at pilot plants.
- Assist in preparing management reviews and collecting data to support presentations.
- Drive improvements in quality, cost efficiency, and labor productivity during the launch phase.
- Enhance plant throughput during launches by identifying and resolving constraints, including leading the documentation for daily throughput acceleration reports.
- Support the installation of error-proofing measures as required.
- Assist in planning preventive maintenance for all new tooling related to the launch.
- Complete documentation for spare parts and ensure all industrial material documentation is finalized.
- Verify that all new tooling and processes comply with internal ergonomic standards.
