Job Description

We are a leading manufacturer of innovative vehicles, and we're looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer. As a key member of our Manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead quality initiatives within the production department to drive continuous improvement and reduce defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Manage quality documentation, including FTT, 8Ds, Scrap, Dock Holds, and Dock Audits.
  • Participate in quality and contamination audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare standard reports for quality reviews within the plant and with other areas.
  • Review rejected parts for quality integrity and decide next steps.
  • Lead cross-functional team initiatives to achieve zero defects and no faults forward.
  • Coordinate Green and Black Belt projects within the department.
  • Work with QLSCM, Quality Works, OBL, CDCII, and other required systems.
  • Document and control error-proofing checks, internal checks, and additional containments.
  • Participate in interplant benchmarking exercises.
  • Actively participate in Simultaneous Engineering meetings, Forward Planning, and Product Design to ensure MTC process is followed.
  • Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.
  • Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tools, 6-panel, etc.
  • Manage and direct statistical process control activities.
  • Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis and variable data analysis.
  • Establish and monitor quality target levels for each build.
  • Provide input for design and assembly concepts that will yield nominal variations.
  • Establish critical characteristics for gauging and measuring data collection methods.
  • Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements.
  • Support expedited concern resolution with cross-functional teams, including the Quality Department, Production, and Suppliers.
  • Review internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibility.
  • Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Complete PPAPs and support new model launches.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in accomplishing tasks and objectives
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified
  • Previous production supervision
  • Microsoft Office Knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
