Thought Leader Liaison

We are seeking a highly skilled Thought Leader Liaison to join our team at Amgen. As a key member of our Neuroimmunology Business Unit, you will be responsible for executing customer-facing strategies and building productive relationships with thought leaders and key influencers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute local peer-to-peer strategies in coordination with national and regional strategic marketing and sales business plans.
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams to ensure thought leader concerns and needs are addressed in a timely and thorough manner.
- Collaborate closely with the Amgen advocacy team to develop relationships with key physician and patient organizations.
- Create and execute short-term and long-term KOL engagement plans.
- Capture, synthesize, and share key thought leader insights to help shape brand strategy and prepare for future life cycle management and competitor entry into the marketplace.
- Identify evidence gaps across product and disease education through appropriate thought leader discussions and podium observations.
- Disseminate thought leader insights to broader Amgen stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and market access teams.
- Coordinate leadership interactions at all assigned national/regional, state society conferences.
- Initiate and pursue opportunities to involve Amgen in meaningful programs with thought leaders to ensure Amgen is strategically and strongly positioned in the market.
- Assist with speaker events, including selection of speakers, training for speakers, and reviewing current speaker programs to ensure consistent messaging and compliant execution.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on peer-to-peer programs, including speaker training programs, and contribute to ongoing refinement of the U.S. speaker bureau.
- Contribute to content development by providing customer insight and perspective, increasing program impact and relevance.
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of marketing or sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Customer-facing pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, with a focus on the neuroimmunology therapeutic area.
- Experience in rare diseases or specialty biologics, with a strong understanding of the IgG4-RD disease state.
- Thought leader or demonstrated KOL leadership experience, with a proven track record of consistent achievement or exceeding expectations in assigned responsibilities, goals, objectives, and other relevant metrics.
- Ability to present ideas effectively, with strong organizational, analytic, and time management planning skills.
- Exceptional clinical and business acumen, with a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and market trends.
