Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Construction and Maintenance Project Supervisor with Washington State Parks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance effort for our park areas, ensuring that our facilities and equipment are safe and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the maintenance, repair, and operational development of park areas and facilities.
  • Supervise area maintenance staff, including scheduling work priorities, mentoring, and performing disciplinary actions.
  • Recruit and hire trades and maintenance staff for the area.
  • Coordinate and complete preventative, deferred, routine, equipment, and emergency maintenance within the area.
  • Develop and control park maintenance budgets for all park area projects and repairs.
  • Conduct equipment training for area staff who operate equipment.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience as a Construction & Maintenance Project Lead, or four years of experience as a Construction & Maintenance Project Specialist, or eight years of advanced level experience in two or more trades.
  • Two years of supervisor experience, including directing the work of employees and providing employee performance feedback.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
