- Anticipate changes in supplier and client negotiating dynamics.
- Conduct analyses to predict potential challenges and develop control strategies.
- Implement risk management procedures to mitigate losses due to product shortages.
- Assist in procurement budgeting and promote a culture of long-term cost savings.
- When necessary, supervise a procurement team and delegate tasks across departments.
Scope of Responsibilities:
The Procurement Operations Manager will be an expert in supply chain and logistics, focusing on implementing cost-effective purchasing strategies for all goods and services required by the organization. Ensuring quality control and compliance with company policies in supply chain management will be paramount.
Working Relationships:
This position reports to the Senior Manager or Director of Finance Operations and may include direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or equivalent experience (minimum five years).
- Demonstrated experience in managing supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
- Experience with Dynamics D365 or similar systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of contract preparation, invoicing, and negotiation processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Strong leadership, management, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at time management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or Manager.
- Understanding of sourcing and procurement techniques, with a keen market insight.
- Aptitude for decision-making and numerical analysis.
- Experience in data collection and analysis.
Working Conditions:
- Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional overtime may be necessary during peak workloads or significant projects.
