Bidvest Catering Equipment is a leading wholesale food distributor and the preferred supplier for over 60,000 customers across the UK, ranging from pubs to schools, from restaurants to care homes and everything in between. From Lands End to John O'Groats, we deliver great food and other catering products to a huge range of customers across the region, whether our customers want just a teaspoon or a full range of catering supplies, we supply their needs. We work as a team to provide every food option from quality ingredients to finished meals, including a number of own brand ranges as well as all the big brands and regional specialties. We believe in our food, and we know that our people behind the scenes are so very important in our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation and performance of the warehouse and its team in order to provide the expected service to our customers within budget.
- Deliver best in class results via a combination of experience, enthusiasm, determination but most importantly, within a motivational and engaging leadership culture.
- Lead, coach and develop staff to manage a number of KPIs, including service levels, stock, inventory, productivity and credits as well as people factors such as training and attendance.
- Closely control all warehouse assets to keep costs to a minimum and work closely with operations and central colleagues to ensure that internal service standards are as high as external ones.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety and food hygiene legislation.
- Manage teams of up to 150 people and achieve proven history in KPIs achievement.
- Be flexible with hours of working and able to clearly identify and prioritise your workload to ensure that all tasks are completed within timescales.
