Strategic Communications Manager

We are looking for a dedicated and talented Marketing and Communications Manager to join our organization. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping and executing our communication strategies to effectively convey our mission, engage our community, and enhance our fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in marketing and communications, exceptional writing abilities, and experience within non-profit settings.
Work Schedule:
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, typically between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
- This position offers a hybrid work model, with both remote and in-person options based on organizational needs.
Compensation: The annual salary range is between $45,000 and $56,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include a monthly health reimbursement for employees, generous paid time off accruing at 176 hours annually, quarterly mental health days, nine holidays, and a week-long winter break. Additionally, there may be a one-time moving stipend available.
*A SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with employer matching will be established by the end of the first year of employment.

Key Responsibilities:Primary Duties:
- Develop, update, and oversee all communication channels, including social media, newsletters, website content, and printed materials.
- Support event planning and execution to enhance community engagement.
- Act as a representative for the organization at various events, conferences, and public engagements.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with volunteers and stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in crafting and implementing communication plans that align with organizational goals.
- Create engaging content for multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Manage the organization's website, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
- Build relationships with media representatives to secure positive coverage.
- Draft and distribute press releases as needed.
- Oversee the design and distribution of promotional materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns.
- Support fundraising efforts through the development of comprehensive plans and donor communications.
- Research potential funding sources and manage grant applications.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify fundraising opportunities.
- Organize fundraising events to engage donors and raise necessary funds.
- Analyze communication and fundraising metrics to inform future strategies.
- Mentor and supervise interns and volunteers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance communication efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders.
