Job Title: Chief Real Estate Officer

This is a key leadership position within the Vancouver Housing Authority, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the organization's real estate strategy. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in multifamily housing development, with expertise in tax credits and other funding sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the organization's real estate strategy, including identifying and pursuing new development opportunities.
  • Lead a team of professionals in the development and implementation of real estate projects, including project management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community partners, developers, and government agencies, to advance the organization's real estate goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including fair housing laws and Washington State regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, developers, and government agencies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, finance, urban planning, business administration, real estate development, planning and public policy, or related field.
  • Five years of related experience in multifamily housing development, with expertise in tax credits and other funding sources.
  • Five years of management, administrative, and supervisory responsibility.
  • Affordable housing experience strongly preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $123,492 to $177,632.
  • Generous benefits package, including 100% paid medical and vision coverage, 85% paid dependent tier coverage, 100% paid dental, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability policy, 12 paid holidays, 12 annual sick days, and 11 annual leave days accrued in the first year.
  • Participation in Washington State PERS (Public Employee Retirement Services).
