JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Utility

Department: Store / Warehouse

FLSA: Non-Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Utility personnel, you will leverage your understanding of operational protocols, machinery handling, inspection processes, and reassembly tasks. The ideal candidate should possess a strong customer service focus, be self-driven, and have the ability to effectively organize and manage the responsibilities outlined below.

Supervision:

This role reports directly to the location manager and does not involve supervising other staff members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing continuous assistance to customers;
  • May oversee all boring operations for designated areas;
  • Ensuring compliance with all operational procedures, maintenance protocols, and safety regulations as per the Company Operations Manual, Employee Handbook, Driver Handbook, and Safety Manual;
  • Contributing to special projects as needed;
  • Must maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidates should possess comprehensive knowledge and the capability to execute general labor tasks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred;
  • A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report must be obtained and approved prior to the hiring date;
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Requirements of Work:
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and repair operations;
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain workshop equipment;
  • Technical and mechanical skills necessary for daily departmental functions;
  • Resourcefulness and tact in addressing new challenges;
  • Capability to manage dissatisfied customers positively;
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
  • Proficient in collaborating effectively within a team setting;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Adherence to all company policies, including safe driving practices, and immediate reporting of any incidents to management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently or more with assistance;
  • Occasional requirements to sit, walk, stand, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, push, pull, crouch, squat, twist, and stoop;
  • May need to climb, balance, crawl, talk, and hear;
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus;
  • Possible exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, varying weather conditions, and noise levels that may range from moderate to heavy;
  • Must demonstrate considerable mobility.
