JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Utility

Department: Store / Warehouse

FLSA: Non-Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Utility professional, you will utilize your understanding of operational protocols, technical procedures, and quality assurance methods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer service mindset, be self-driven, and have the ability to independently organize and manage the responsibilities outlined below.

Supervision:

This role reports directly to the location manager and does not include supervisory responsibilities over other staff members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing continuous assistance to customers;
  • Handling all boring tasks for designated locations;
  • Ensuring compliance with all operational procedures, maintenance protocols, and safety standards as per the Company Operations Manual, Employee Handbook, Driver Handbook, and Safety Manual;
  • Participating in special projects as assigned;
  • Consistently reporting to work as scheduled in a timely manner.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidates should have comprehensive knowledge and the ability to perform general labor tasks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred;
  • A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report must be obtained and submitted for approval prior to the hiring date;
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Requirements of Work:
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive parts and repair processes;
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain shop equipment;
  • Technical and mechanical skills necessary for daily departmental operations;
  • Resourcefulness and tact in addressing new challenges;
  • Ability to positively engage with dissatisfied customers;
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally within a team;
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
  • Adherence to all company policies, including safe driving practices, and prompt reporting of any incidents or injuries to management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds unassisted or more than 50 pounds with assistance;
  • Occasional requirements to sit, walk, stand, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, push, pull, crouch, squat, twist, and stoop;
  • Required to climb, balance, crawl, talk, and hear;
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus;
  • May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, hazardous chemicals, various weather conditions, and moderate to heavy noise levels;
  • Must possess considerable mobility.
