Contract Specialist II

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Specialist to join our Growth team at Modea, a healthcare-focused digital product consultancy. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of our contract lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) that align with our business objectives and legal requirements.
- Manage Master Service Agreement (MSA) renewals to maintain strong client relationships.
- Review and execute other contractual documents, such as BAAs, NDAs, and change orders.
- Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance, timely execution, and meticulous record-keeping.
- Assist with business development efforts by preparing and submitting Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Collaborate with the Accounting department to ensure proper invoicing of newly signed deals.
- Manage and update standard forms and templates (SOWs, change orders, MSAs, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in a consultancy, technology, or healthcare environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment
Modeans are able to work at any location in Virginia, Tennessee, or North Carolina, unless otherwise required by job responsibilities. We offer modern offices in Nashville, TN, and Blacksburg, VA, with a flexible work arrangement that allows employees to choose a fully-office, fully-remote, or hybrid experience. Employees may occasionally need to travel to our offices or other locations for training or client visits. We provide tools to enable employees to work effectively from home or in the office.
Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the workday. Individuals must have the ability to constantly operate a computer. Must have the ability to converse with and exchange information to clients and coworkers both in person and through a computer. Capable of occasionally transporting items of 10 lbs or less to and from the office.
