Materials Management Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Management Specialist II to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering the supply support system to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and administer the supply support system to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Act as a buyer for non-contract items and services.
- Perform replenishment of supplies to ensure sufficient availability.
- Accomplish timely, accurate, and efficient picking and staging of requisitions.
- Requisition, receive, and stock supplies for assigned areas.
- Meet assigned department and Materials Management budgetary goals and department performance indicators or statistics.
- Coordinate requisitions, receipts, and returns for assigned areas using established policies.
- Participate in product evaluations and changes for assigned areas.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of team members.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree desired.
- Minimum four (4) years healthcare materials management, computerized inventory or purchasing experience desired.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with others in a team setting.
- Proficiencies in Microsoft Office, spreadsheet management.
- Familiarity with automated procurement and inventory control systems.
- Ability to act independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform in a continually changing environment with tight deadlines.
