Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a dedicated IT Project Manager to operate within a vibrant and evolving organization. This role involves overseeing a diverse array of IT initiatives while applying industry-standard project management methodologies. The individual will be accountable for guaranteeing that the necessary capabilities for the government client are effectively delivered and acknowledged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates extensively across divisions with CIO leadership, program managers, engineers, and other essential stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and coordination of project management efforts.
  • Facilitates meeting organization, clarifies project scope, ensures compliance with policies, aligns with strategic goals, and promotes effective communication.
  • Partners with fellow project and program managers to secure engineering, cyber security, and operational subject matter expert resources for project delivery.
  • Guides the project team in adhering to comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Maintains and updates project plans using MS Project and manages documentation on Project Server.
  • Utilizes MS Office tools to develop and sustain project plans, timelines, Statements of Work, Bill of Materials, risk assessments, and presentations.
  • Implements risk management strategies to identify, evaluate, mitigate, accept, or disregard risks associated with all projects.
  • Coordinates efforts with IT portfolio managers, governance leads, resource managers, program managers, and government representatives to ensure that proposed solutions are well-supported and documented across all functions, including full cyber security accreditation and operational network sustainability.
  • Ensures all modifications to project scope are thoroughly reviewed and documented.
  • Collaborates closely with engineering and operations teams to streamline design processes and minimize risks during service transitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of an active PMP certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management.
  • Must hold an active DoD Top Secret clearance with the capability to obtain SCI clearance.
