About the Role

This position will be based in either Hazel Park, MI or Warren, MI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check the equipment for proper functioning and reporting deviations or quality defects.
  • Monitor the operation of the production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with production parameters.
  • Maintenance and cleaning of equipment, work area and facility based on 5s standards.
  • Frequently lift to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach or twist.
  • Prolonged standing or walking.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Interest in electrical engineering processes.
  • General experience in production processes.
  • Detail orientated and consistent.
  • Must be able to work on a team.
  • Work independently, accurately, and precisely.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Safety

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires.

This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers.

In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
