Job Title: Peer Support Specialist - Mental Health Recovery
About the Job:
We are seeking a certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team at Resources for Human Development. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will work closely with individuals in recovery from mental health issues to provide support, education, and advocacy. Your role will be crucial in empowering individuals to regain control over their recovery process.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Care: Deliver peer support services, including education, advocacy, and fostering engagement in treatment processes.
- Recovery Support Education: Provide training and orientation on Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), self-help/mutual peer support groups, and other relevant topics.
- Group Facilitation: Facilitate group therapy sessions, including WRAP, Recovery Support Groups, Community Meetings, and Symptom and Coping Skills.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete required documentation of services in a timely manner, following agency policy.
Requirements:
- Certification: Certified Peer Specialist Certification
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: At least 2 years working with others in mental health recovery
Salary and Benefits:
This full-time position is available in Charlotte, NC, with a salary of approximately $$17.26 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
