About the Position:

The Student Learning Center Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the tutoring center staff, students, and TCC instructors. This role is responsible for greeting students warmly, providing timely assistance, and maintaining a professional and friendly atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist tutoring center staff with day-to-day operations
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to students and TCC instructors
  • Maintain a clean and organized tutoring center environment
  • Learn and use TracCloud to check out resources, manage appointments, and track student usage
  • Be familiar with resources offered by the tutoring center and other campus programs/resources
  • Help students find the appropriate tutors for their subject
  • Understand and be able to use and help others access eTutoring
  • Maintain excellent communication with tutoring staff and supervisor

Requirements:

  • Current TCC student
  • High School graduation or equivalent, or TCC student
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to promote a professional and friendly atmosphere, learn quickly, and juggle different tasks at once

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time hourly position scheduled to work varied hours during the weekday afternoons and early evenings, up to 16 hours per week. The salary is $16.28 per hour. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet department needs.
