Audiovisual Systems Installer (Level 2)

Reporting To:
Project Manager or Lead AV Technician

Position Purpose:
The Audiovisual Systems Installer is tasked with the installation of electronic hardware and wiring components for audiovisual systems in accordance with company standards. This role is integral to the Operations team, contributing to our goal of delivering a premier sales and AV integration program.

Key Responsibilities:
This position involves:
1. Receiving, inventorying, assembling, and installing AV equipment at various job sites with minimal supervision.
2. Adhering to company policies regarding quality, safety, and environmental practices.
3. Engaging in regional travel, with job sites varying across the metropolitan area and potentially nationwide.

Essential Duties:
- Conducting the complete process of receiving, inventorying, assembling, installing, commissioning, and testing AV and network equipment.
- Performing construction labor and electrical installations, including:
- Moving heavy equipment and wiring supplies (must be able to lift 75 lbs unassisted).
- Troubleshooting audio and video cabling.
- Installing and terminating cables using appropriate connectors.
- Drilling in various materials for installation purposes.
- Conducting light construction tasks such as sanding and painting.
- Organizing and storing materials effectively.
- Installing electronic components into equipment racks as per wiring diagrams.
- Working in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 10ft.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior installers.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in AV installation (5-7 years preferred).
- CTS certification is preferred or the ability to obtain it within six months.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork experience.
- Proficiency in standard office software (Google, Microsoft Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to learn quickly and make decisions under pressure.
