Position Summary:

Metric5 is seeking a dedicated Senior Business Analyst with robust Project Management skills. This role involves working within an Agile framework on a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product.

As a Senior Business Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with the product owner, subject matter experts (SMEs), and stakeholders to assess tasks and requests, ultimately crafting user stories with defined acceptance criteria. You will oversee the sprint backlog, facilitate sprint demonstrations, and engage in all significant program ceremonies. Your comfort in a customer-facing role within an Agile setting, along with your proactive approach to identifying risks and formulating solutions, will be crucial. The ideal candidate will engage directly with clients, developers, and team members throughout all phases of the development lifecycle to implement enhancements to the application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the product backlog and design documentation using Jira and Confluence.
  • Lead sessions for requirements gathering and refinement to identify business, functional, and technical needs.
  • Facilitate the collection of user feedback and track metrics.
  • Translate customer requirements into epics, features, and user stories.
  • Ensure requirements traceability and alignment of development with business goals.
  • Conduct gap analysis.
  • Support business process modeling and human-centered design initiatives.
  • Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements.
  • Convert user stories into test cases and assist with QA/testing processes.
  • Contribute to organizational change strategies and documentation for a seamless system rollout.
  • Create executive briefing materials and visual aids.
  • Develop and deliver training resources, including user guides and instructional materials.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and quarterly Agile ceremonies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on requirements elicitation and user story development.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience in Agile business analysis, product ownership, or management.
  • Familiarity with various Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, XP, Lean, DevOps).
  • Strong writing and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in using requirements management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with functional and end-to-end testing, including manual test case execution and BDD test script writing.
  • Experience in providing end-user training.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • PeopleSoft Certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience in a SAFe Agile environment.
  • Technical aptitude to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to learn and apply new tools and techniques.

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience

Clearance: Must be a United States Citizen and eligible for a security clearance for this government role.
