Position Overview

A classroom educator at a government school plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing an educational framework that aligns with the institution's goals and the directives of the educational authority.

We are in search of a motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible teacher specializing in Science and Digital Technologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively and, alongside the Science/Digital Technologies Key Learning Area (KLA), leverage their comprehensive knowledge of scientific principles and cutting-edge technologies to foster student engagement and relate learning to practical scenarios. Familiarity with VCE Physics and Chemistry methodologies is advantageous but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the classroom educator may encompass, but are not limited to:

- Delivering direct instruction to both groups and individual students;

- Contributing to the design, execution, and assessment of a specific curriculum area or other educational programs within the institution;

- Establishing a supportive and positive atmosphere that promotes student learning, in accordance with the school's well-being and engagement policies;

- Evaluating students' educational progress, maintaining comprehensive records, and providing feedback to parents or guardians;

- Actively participating in the school's professional development initiatives, including professional learning communities (PLC);

- Performing additional teaching-related and organizational tasks as assigned by the School Principal;

- Engaging in activities such as parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and extracurricular events;

- Carrying out other non-instructional supervisory responsibilities.
