Position Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the precise and prompt reconciliation of various financial accounts, including Compass Depository Accounts, Corporate Insurance Accounts, and Corporate Investment Accounts.
- Collaborate with banking institutions and armored carriers to investigate and rectify discrepancies and errors.
- Work closely with Regional Controllers and fellow Accountants to resolve ledger inconsistencies.
- Record maintenance and corrective journal entries as necessary.
- Serve as a liaison among Field Operations, Accounting, banking partners, and third-party financial vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- A minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of effective communication across all organizational levels.
- Able to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented team player with a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with SAP financial systems and/or Access is advantageous.
- Experience with account reconciliation software is preferred.
