Job Overview

Aerotek is in search of a Maintenance Technician specializing in industrial operations for a prominent manufacturing firm. This role is focused on night shifts and offers competitive compensation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Address equipment-related issues promptly and carry out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all machinery to minimize operational downtime.
  • Conduct repairs on machinery utilized in processing and packaging tasks.
  • Monitor and assess the functionality of advanced electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to identify and rectify operational challenges.
  • Dismantle machinery to detect, remove, repair, or replace damaged components, followed by proper reassembly.
  • Replace defective electrical parts including relays, switches, motors, and sensors.
  • Execute preventive maintenance on machinery, which encompasses the repair or replacement of electrical connections, welding, re-soldering, lubrication, filter cleaning, control recalibration, gasket changes, and component adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and document work orders related to equipment repairs.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as digital voltmeters, mega-ohm meters, and AMP probes to troubleshoot electrical issues.
Required Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools including digital voltmeters and mega-ohm meters.
  • Ability to work on packaging and processing machinery, including pumps, valves, and piping systems.
  • Familiarity with three-phase electricity up to 480v, 24v control systems, proximity switches, and electrical theory.
  • Capability to perform food-grade welding.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and PLC-operated equipment.
