Job Overview

The role of the Process Improvement Specialist is essential for achieving top-tier operational performance, characterized by minimal defects, waste, and losses.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will implement a comprehensive array of improvement methodologies and tools to address identified inefficiencies in Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing.

Your focus will be on supporting various manufacturing sites, particularly emphasizing the Covington TN facility.

Impact on Operations:
As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will significantly contribute to factory performance by utilizing improvement methodologies effectively.

You will collaborate closely with production teams, technical engineering staff, lead process engineers, and all relevant pillars to serve as a technical advisor and mentor, offering guidance in identifying phenomena, conducting root cause analysis, and developing effective countermeasures.

Additionally, you will assist in compiling KPI status reports for all North American sites to facilitate monthly progress updates.

Data-Driven Approach:
Utilizing your expertise and technical acumen, you will work to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce waste, and enhance production output across multiple work centers or production lines.

Your efforts will be guided by collaboration with Cost Deployment, Quality, and Safety Pillar leaders to prioritize and eliminate losses.

Proactive Mindset:
You will be instrumental in transitioning from a reactive to a proactive approach regarding operational losses.

You will report directly to the Business Unit Manufacturing Excellence Manager.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Food, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechatronic Engineering, accompanied by 2-5+ years of relevant experience. A demonstrated passion for improvement engineering, digital advancements, and a commitment to continuous learning is essential.

Skills Required:
Attention to detail, proactive mindset, accountability, strong written and verbal communication skills, data analysis, problem-solving capabilities, decision-making, teamwork, and sound judgment.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in focused improvement initiatives, Kaizen activities, or continuous improvement programs (such as WCM, TPM, 6-sigma, Lean, etc.) within a manufacturing context.

Travel Requirements:
Anticipated travel is approximately 10-20%, depending on the needs of the manufacturing sites.
