Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Cypress Healthcare Partners. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
  • Perform urology specific procedures under the order and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner.
  • Educate patient/family about diagnostic procedures, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
  • Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination.
  • Maintains/reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information.
  • Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials.
  • Restock lab area daily, including all drawers and treatment trays.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Schedule referrals, procedures and tests.
Requirements
  • State-licensed vocational nurse.
  • High school diploma. Graduation from an approved vocational nursing program.
  • Prefer a minimum of one-year LVN experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
  • Knowledge of infectious disease management and control and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Working Conditions

Normal office and exam room environment. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
