Thoracic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Radiologist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our Department of Radiology, you will be responsible for providing sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of our referring physicians and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Education: Provide training to medical students, residents, and fellows who rotate through our Department of Radiology.
- Research and Development: Maintain professional relationships with the Department of Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery, and Cardiology, and develop a scholarly/research portfolio with evidence of multi-disciplinary applications.
- Service and Administration: Devote time and effort to academic service-related activities, including college, school, and departmental committee work, professional growth, and other assignments.
- Clinical Expertise: Provide high-quality, sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of our referring physicians and patients.
Requirements:
- Hold ABR certification or documentation of passing the Core Component of the ABR Board examination.
- Be fellowship trained in Cardiothoracic Radiology.
- Demonstrate experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Be eligible for a Virginia medical license and permanent employment in the USA.
