We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Services Coordinator to join our team at 2Life Communities. Located in metropolitan Boston, we provide superior housing to older adults of all backgrounds who can thrive independently within a supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Resident Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support services to our seniors, including advocating on their behalf, conducting assessments, and connecting them with community resources. Your goal will be to ensure that our residents receive the care and assistance they need to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work or a related field, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively with a diverse population of seniors, understanding their unique needs and circumstances. The ideal candidate will also possess a high level of empathy and compassion, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' social, psychological, cognitive, and physical status
  • Advocate on behalf of residents for adequate, timely, and cost-effective provision of services
  • Participate in Housing and Health Care Integration Initiatives
  • Respond to resident emergency calls during scheduled work hours
  • Educate and assist residents and their families regarding available services and resources
  • Pursue additional services through private, local, state, and federal sources
  • Maintain confidential files of significant contacts with residents, social service providers, medical providers, families, and for HUD reporting
Requirements
  • Masters or BA Degree, with a concentration in Social Work, Gerontology, or other related fields
  • Resident Services Coordinator Certification or willingness to attain this within the first year of employment
  • Experience working with older adults
  • General computer literacy with Microsoft Office products and database software
  • Bilingual in Spanish
