About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team at LLFlex. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities by performing preventative maintenance on our equipment, identifying and resolving technical issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Plan, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of conveyors, machines, motors, sprockets, gear boxes, saws, chains, pumps, hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders, and perform fabrication, welding, and other maintenance skills to ensure the operation of the plant.
  2. Electrical Systems: Plan, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical equipment, including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, tape actuated controls, and other equipment involving tube or transistor circuits.
  3. Technical Support: Receive job assignments from the supervisor and lead person, who provide guidelines and priorities for work. Study circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, or replace electronic devices and systems, including programmable controllers, circuit breakers, fuses, and switches.
  4. Problem-Solving: Test faulty equipment and apply knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose the cause of malfunction. Repair and install motors, motor controls, transformers, and generators while using appropriate procedures to ensure safe operation.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain required records of repairs, calibrations, and tests according to guidelines and procedures of the department.
  6. Training and Development: Assist with training of other maintenance and production department personnel as directed by supervisor.
  7. Safety Protocols: Wear protective safety gear as required and safely perform duties in a high-voltage environment. Comply with all safety-related procedures and processes related to exposure to electrical hazards, e.g., lock out/tag out, arc flash hazard, electrostatic hazard.
  8. Equipment Operation: Use a variety of equipment, such as hand and power tools, electronic meters, forklifts, man lifts, and bucket trucks, in performing duties.
  9. Housekeeping: Perform good housekeeping standards as part of the department as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, PLC troubleshooting skills, and experience with welding and fabrication.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team environment, and willingness to learn and accept responsibility.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for prolonged periods, work in temperatures above 90 F, and lift up to 35 lbs.
