Job Summary:

RTX is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Final Assembly of Major End Items
  • Drive continuous improvement through projects aiming at improving cycle time, reducing ergonomic risk to assemblers, automating, and reducing costs
  • Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and design to implement robust processes for continuous improvement
  • Make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials to support renewed manufacturing capability
  • Review and validate recommendations regarding manufacturability of existing and future products and advise modifications or adaptations to address quality, customer, product, or productivity constraints
  • Implement a system to proactively manage equipment failures
  • Leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of the two high-volume lines of the work center
  • Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base as needed
  • Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence of issues

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant work experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
