Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service through daily interactions and communications. The Admissions Counselor will implement recruitment strategies and engage prospective students through various channels, including school visits, community outreach initiatives, and facility tours. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, and staff.

In collaboration with the Chief Learning Officer, Registrar and Admissions Manager, and Student Services Manager, the Admissions Counselor will:

  • Engage in student recruitment by visiting high schools (both in-person and virtually), attending college fairs, and connecting with community colleges.
  • Maintain ongoing strategic communications with educators and counselors through various media.
  • Assist in the evaluation of applications during admissions review meetings.
  • Welcome prospective students and contribute to the planning and execution of admissions events and special activities.
  • Conduct follow-up initiatives, including phone outreach and yield events.
  • Oversee small- and large-scale projects as assigned.
  • Manage PAFA Admissions communications, responding to inquiries and messages.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including reading industry publications and engaging with professional organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong understanding of visual and fine arts.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in admissions or recruitment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent written, interpersonal, and public speaking abilities.
  • Experience with institutional database CRM systems preferred.
  • Flexibility to work independently and a commitment to teamwork and organizational objectives.
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, and some weekends, along with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
