Join Our Team as a Financial Planning and Analysis Director

Alvarez & Marsal's Financial Services Industry group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Director to partner with financial services firms and private investors to drive results, create value, and unlock business opportunities at every stage of their growth strategies.

We provide end-to-end portfolio and M&A services, deliver innovation, revenue growth, and efficiency through business transformation, and offer bottom-line results through action-oriented leadership and success-aligned fee arrangements, delivered by our global team of turnaround experts, industry operators, digital leaders, and regulatory specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of consulting projects and ensure successful delivery of client requirements within the scope of the engagement.
  • Own the project planning and process management and communicate progress to clients and A&M leadership.
  • Drive development of content, either directly or by providing guidance to the consulting team.
  • Manage multiple client and stakeholder relationships and networking within the client organization to understand their needs and help influence the client agenda.
  • Lead senior client presentations and meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property within the Financial Services practice, including improving methodologies, tools, techniques, and developing new ideas and approaches.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including preparation of proposal documents and attending pitch presentations.
  • Engage with Financial Services macro industry trends, competitive dynamics, and disruptors (fintech, digital, AI, etc.).
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to Managers, Consultants, and Analysts to help develop their consulting skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of strategy consulting experience at a consulting firm supporting Asset and Wealth Management, Exchanges, Asset Servicing, FS Data Providers, Insurance, and Reinsurance.
  • Proven experience leading projects and/or teams.
  • Exceptional Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • MBA or another advanced degree.
  • Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
