Automation Field Service Engineer

Valmet is seeking a skilled Automation Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin region. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for analyzing customer needs and implementing solutions to integrate Company products into customers' systems or subsystems.
This role requires a strong understanding of automation practices, process instrumentation, and PLC programming. You will work closely with customers to understand their design problems and develop solutions to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, test, and document project applications software using Valmet product tools.
- Assist in code and test of project custom software.
- Learn project execution process and procedures including Configuration Management and Quality Assurance procedures.
- Assist in technical proposal preparation.
- Interact with customers as required for the project.
- Learn and follow safety and quality policies.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a job-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PLC programming experience.
- Familiarity with process instrumentation, controls, PLC, and automation practices.
- Experience with common programming languages and structures.
