This role involves analyzing customer needs and finding solutions to customer design problems to integrate Valmet products into customers' systems or subsystems. The primary goal is to apply current products to increase market penetration. Under supervision, you will perform analysis, implementation, testing, and documentation using application design documents and requirements specifications. Local travel is required within the Milwaukee region to 3 customer sites.

In this role, you will:

1. Serve as a junior project team member for DCS projects.
2. Implement, test, and document project applications software using Valmet product tools.
3. Assist in code and testing of project custom software.
4. Learn project execution process and procedures, including Configuration Management and Quality Assurance procedures.
5. Assist in technical proposal preparation.
6. Interact with customers as required for the project.
7. Learn and follow safety and quality policies.
8. Perform related duties as assigned.

Expectations:

1. Bachelor's degree in a job-related field or
2. 2-4 years of related experience and/or training or
3. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
4. PLC Programming.

Knowledge Preferred:

Familiarity with Process instrumentation, controls, PLC, and automation practices.
Experience with common programming languages and structures.

To be successful in this role, you must be electro-mechanically inclined, self-guided, and have a strong work ethic. Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment.
