Position Overview


The primary objective of this role is to assist the VP of Corporate Accounting & Support Services with various monthly responsibilities.

Key duties include the preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and a solid grasp of GAAP principles.

The candidate must be capable of independently managing month-end reporting tasks, reporting packages, and external audit inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including loans and escrow accounts
  • Management and recording of all corporate credit card transactions
  • Oversight of payroll allocations from corporate support staff
  • Preparation and provision of supporting documentation for investors and external auditors
  • Maintenance of lender reporting packages and quarterly documentation for the executive team
  • Cost accounting experience may be beneficial for reconciling and managing ongoing construction projects
  • Analysis of variances to budget and forecasts through detailed operational and financial metrics
  • Review of journal entries during month-end and year-end processes
  • Tracking and analysis of key financial metrics and operational procedures to promote process enhancements
  • Assistance with external audits
  • Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements
