The Specialized Relationships Group (SRG) is an integral part of the Investor Services Branch Network organization, dedicated to catering to clients across diverse segments through both dedicated and collaborative relationship models. The Schwab Financial Solutions Branch, operating within SRG, employs a high-scale relationship model focused on serving Mass Affluent investors.

This extension of the Branch Network collaborates closely with both new and existing Mass Affluent clients to enhance engagement, foster trust, and deliver investment solutions and tools tailored for contemporary markets. The Financial Solutions Branch will work in partnership with a broad spectrum of departments and partners, including local branches, to ensure that these clients maximize their relationship with Schwab.

Through a combination of personal and digital interactions, Financial Consultants in the Financial Solutions Branch are responsible for driving engagement, nurturing relationships, and securing long-term client loyalty within Schwab's mass affluent client base. Your engagement efforts will support client outreach, retention, and overall satisfaction as you position yourself as a vital resource in guiding clients toward financial success.

As a Financial Consultant in the Financial Solutions Branch, you will advocate for your clients by actively listening and uncovering what matters most to them, understanding their unique circumstances, and collaborating with a team of internal specialists to help clients achieve their financial objectives. You will confidently offer wealth management recommendations, advisory insights, and discuss timely and relevant topics to drive meaningful outcomes for your clients. Additionally, you will grow and maintain your practice by responding to client needs, supporting asset consolidation, and continuing to partner with clients as you guide them through their financial journey.

Your typical day would include:
  • Client outreach, planning, and advisory discussions.
  • Virtual client presentations and discussions on market trends.
  • Collaboration with business partners and sharing best practices within your branch.
  • Additional client engagement driven by digital enhancements to the Schwab platform.

When meeting with clients, you will:
  • Be Curious and Consultative: Discover all you can about your clients, view situations from their perspective, and recommend suitable solutions to help them stay aligned with their financial goals.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Cultivate strong relationships, engage clients, and deepen trust by applying a focused communication strategy that exceeds client expectations.
  • Have a Defined Process: Exhibit your ability to utilize technology and deliver appropriate advice and solutions through a structured sales process that addresses clients' needs.
  • Use your Team and Ability to Influence: Leverage our team of Schwab specialists, Schwab advice guidelines, your market knowledge, and your ability to inspire action to assist clients in progressing toward their goals.
  • Be a Challenger: Collaborate with and educate clients. Engage them in discussions about market conditions, sound investing principles, and ideal wealth and long-term investment strategies tailored to their personal situations.

What you have:

We prioritize high performance, quality service, and the ability to execute our strategy. Essential skills include:
  • Active FINRA Series 7, Series 66 (63/65) license, and Life & Health Insurance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of financial experience is preferred.
  • An entrepreneurial and self-starter mentality.
  • Polished and persuasive interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • A capacity to quickly learn new technology and utilize various data and systems.
  • Openness to ongoing coaching and development to achieve positive client outcomes and career goals.
  • Strong time management skills and productivity; ability to balance competing priorities successfully.
  • A learning mentality to understand all the products and services at Schwab.
  • An extensive Schwab network to effectively address client concerns.
