Your Role

As a key member of our Wealth Advisory team, the Wealth Consultant Partner plays a vital role in delivering personalized service and ongoing support tailored to the wealth management needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients. Collaborating closely with the Wealth Advisor, you will provide outstanding service, foster and enhance client relationships, and offer strategic advice to the Wealth Advisor's clientele.

Key Responsibilities

In your position as a Wealth Consultant Partner at Charles Schwab, you will work within a collaborative team structure alongside one to three Senior Financial Consultants. In this model, tasks may be executed as directed by your Senior Financial Consultant(s), in partnership with them, or independently with regular check-ins:
  • Deliver dedicated support to Senior Wealth Consultants and their client base.
  • Engage with existing clients through proactive communication via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Enhance both new and existing client relationships by identifying additional business development opportunities and collaborating with Senior Wealth Consultants to secure new business.
  • Provide tailored advice, including suitability assessments, recommendations, and planning for practice clients in conjunction with Senior Financial Consultants.
  • Develop, update, and present financial plans for practice clients in partnership with Senior Wealth Consultants.
  • Maintain and organize client information using Schwab's internal customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Identify potential leads and proactively generate ideas to connect with clients and prospects.
  • Prepare for client appointments by reviewing planning status, life events, and suitability updates.
  • Oversee local event logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, contract negotiations, invitation management, attendance tracking, client presentation development, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Support the business development and relationship-building efforts of Senior Financial Consultants by following up on referrals and engaging with potential clients.
  • Collaborate with key business partners to resolve client inquiries and ensure operational tasks are executed efficiently.
  • Work alongside Senior Financial Consultants to enhance the client experience, ultimately improving the client promoter score for the branch.
  • Participate in or facilitate the initial onboarding process for new clients.
  • Assist Senior Financial Consultants with client segmentation and engagement strategies, leveraging various outreach methods.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Active Series 7 license (may be obtained as a condition of employment).
  • Active Series 66 (63/65) license (may be obtained as a condition of employment).
  • Notary certification (may be obtained post-hire).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services is preferred.
  • A strong commitment to client satisfaction and the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated individual with integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Proven experience in addressing client concerns with professionalism and tact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Experience in identifying and developing new client relationships.
  • Genuine interest in staying informed about market trends and their implications for clients.
  • Skill in uncovering client needs and managing expectations.
  • Adaptability to changing environments and client requirements.
  • Experience in operational or project management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective cross-enterprise relationships.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced technical proficiency, including the ability to utilize multiple applications simultaneously.

  • Minimum time-in-position expectation of 2 years.
