Position Overview:
The Oncology Care Coordinator RN is a vital resource throughout the cancer care journey. This registered nurse possesses a deep understanding of the various treatment options, emotional challenges, and financial implications associated with a cancer diagnosis.


Key Responsibilities:
The Oncology Care Coordinator will assess the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families, providing necessary interventions and referrals as required.

The primary objectives of this role include:
1) Equipping patients with essential information and education to alleviate some of the stress related to a cancer diagnosis.
2) Empowering patients to engage actively in their own care processes.
3) Enhancing comprehension of their treatment choices and plans.
4) Supporting patients through the entire treatment process, including survivorship planning when applicable.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Education to meet certification, licensing, or registration requirements.
- Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- OCN certification within 18 months of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in oncology nursing.

Preferred:
- OCN certification upon hire.
- Experience in case management or as a Clinical Trial Nurse.
