About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Specialist to support our federal client in Northern Virginia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts to ensure software meets defined requirements.
  • Collaborate with software developers and quality analysts to identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain test processes and procedures to ensure software quality.
  • Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents.
  • Test and validate software to ensure it meets major architectural requirements.
  • Ensure the quality of the system as a whole.
  • Work closely with firmware developers and validation engineers.
  • Develop and automate tests for software validation.
  • Detect and report bug issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, or 7 years of experience.
  • Must have TS/SCI++ clearance.

Desirable Skills:

  • Developing and executing software test plans to identify software problems and their causes.
  • Performing analysis of documented user requirements and directing or assisting in the design of test plans.
  • Designing, defining, and documenting unit and application test plans.
  • Transforming test plans into test scripts and executing those scripts.
  • Directing and/or participating in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development.
  • Estimating software-testing costs and schedule.
  • Conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
  • Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
  • Developing testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
  • Documenting software defects, using bug tracking systems, and reporting defects to software developers.
  • Documenting test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
  • Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
