Position Overview

The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiencies by applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies. This position focuses on evaluating and refining existing processes within the organization, identifying areas of waste, and implementing strategic changes to optimize value and minimize variability. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the company.



Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong business insight and a thorough understanding of machinery and production processes while building relationships with plant personnel to comprehend their challenges.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and monitor key performance indicators, including gross margin, capacity, productivity, and delivery timelines.
  • Utilize analytical tools to assess data, understand operational workflows, and provide updates on project progress.
  • Oversee Continuous Improvement projects, managing timelines, measuring outcomes, and coordinating resources across various teams.
  • Identify effective data utilization methods to extract actionable insights from multiple systems, enhancing processes and procedures.
  • Lead multiple CI initiatives simultaneously, showcasing effective communication and adaptability as project demands evolve.
  • Work closely with the Quality team to ensure efficient production practices and devise strategies to minimize waste.
  • Conduct audits of established processes, proactively seeking improvements to achieve financial objectives.
  • Contribute to broader organizational goals by enhancing gross margin and production output.
  • Leverage expertise to gather constructive feedback from employees across different locations, promoting collaboration on Lean initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines such as electrical, chemical, industrial, or manufacturing, with an MBA considered advantageous.
  • 4 to 6+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement Engineer role, demonstrating hands-on expertise in Lean Six Sigma and leading improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred, with the ability to achieve Black Belt status within a year if not already certified.
  • Proven track record in data analysis and leading cross-functional teams, connecting initiatives to business metrics.
  • Experience in presenting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders effectively.
