Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for driving business development and managing relationships within the Inventory Finance sector at Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Inc.

This role will focus on establishing connections, onboarding new clients, and overseeing commercial initiatives related to the Inventory Finance division.

Collaboration with General Managers and key leaders across Inventory Finance, Vendor Finance, and Transportation Work Truck Finance will be essential to expand the Inventory Finance portfolio.

Engagement with vendors and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will be critical to developing programs and securing significant enterprise and dealer accounts.

Additionally, the role will involve identifying and cultivating supply chain income opportunities within the OEM, distributor, dealer, and upfit sectors by leveraging the broader capabilities of the Hitachi and Mitsubishi groups.

Management of existing dealer accounts while actively seeking new opportunities will be a key responsibility.

Ensuring growth in targeted markets, including Class 1-8 chassis and bodies, is vital. This may encompass various segments such as Bus (including electric buses), Towing/Wrecker, Fire, Emergency Vehicles, and more.

Providing strategic guidance and market insights to leadership regarding both strategy and execution will be crucial. The individual will also support strategic customers to foster strong relationships.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and nurture relationships with both new and existing OEM partners.
  • Act as a Customer Experience Strategist by building relationships, structuring programs, and addressing customer project escalations.
  • Identify and eliminate potential friction points for customers during the onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with each customer's Executive Leadership Team to strengthen critical relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations while developing program and dealer relationships with key accounts.
  • Leverage industry expertise and strategic relationships to drive business growth.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on problem-solving and shared ownership of business responsibilities.
  • Represent Mitsubishi HC Capital America at industry events, sales meetings, and professional functions.
  • Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in all representations of the company.

Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:

Engage with customers in assigned markets and collaborate with the MHCA team to ensure new business aligns with company policies and pricing guidelines.


Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:

Initially, there will be no direct management responsibilities, but the potential to lead a team will develop as the business expands.


Qualifications/Competencies:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Over 10 years of experience in developing commercial finance programs and collaborating with business leaders.
  • Strategic mindset with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong background in working with dealers and manufacturers in relevant markets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with leadership teams.
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities, particularly with C-Suite executives.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Development and Sales Leadership is highly preferred, along with knowledge of transportation and specialty vehicle markets.


Working Hours:

Hours may vary based on business needs and may require evening work and overtime.


Travel:

Travel requirements are estimated at 50-75%.


Physical Demands:

Must possess digital dexterity and coordination for office equipment operation, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

The salary range for this position is between $151,000 and $166,000 annually, with opportunities for discretionary bonuses.
