About the Role

Prestige Staffing is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating surgical procedures with patients and surgical teams.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures with patients and surgical teams, ensuring seamless communication and timely execution.
  • Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations to ensure smooth patient care.
  • Communicate pre-operative instructions and answer patient inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Update and maintain accurate scheduling records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal scheduling and resource allocation, maximizing efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical office administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical scheduling role preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in medical scheduling software and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
