Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Senior Service Manager to join our team at CEC Companies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing our mechanical service teams and ensuring the department's continued profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and manage phases of the daily HVAC & plumbing service operations
  • Manage small projects from start to finish
  • Oversee Service Managers and a Field QA/QC Manager to optimize daily operations
  • Evaluate and schedule service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits
  • Bid-on and accurately maintain service agreements, repairs, and move add change projects
  • Meet goals and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with clients and lead technicians as well as other office staff members
  • Train, develop, and hold your team accountable to performance standards and expectations
  • Participate in budget planning and meeting preparation
  • Thoroughness in billing for all parts and materials
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum of seven (7) years management experience in a Commercial HVAC service industry
  • Experience in Chilled and Heating water systems
  • High school diploma, GED, or its equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with clean, insurable driving record
  • Detail oriented and a highly organized multi-tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient using a computer and Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Ability to provide unparalleled customer satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal, phone, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong mechanical and installation understanding of the tools and equipment that technicians use
  • Self-sufficient, self-motivated, proactive, and able to find and organize customer base and service-related information

This job may work inside or outside with possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and weather elements in restricted or confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces. This job may have exposure to working on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other exposures typical of heavy construction. This job also operates in an office setting.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands
  1. Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing reaching, bending crawling, standing, or stretching.
  2. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  3. Move about on the feet regularly. Sit for extended periods of time.
  4. Requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  5. May require travel.
  6. Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
  7. Talk and hear, ability to communicate with others both written and orally and by telephone.
  8. Possess good vision, normal or corrected. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision to discern color coded wires, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  9. Possesses good hearing, normal or corrected.
  10. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest), as needed.
  11. Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed. Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
  12. Must be able to work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.
